Job Summary:

In this role you will be part of a high performing team working with automated, high speed manufacturing equipment featuring the latest technology. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs., ascend and descend stairs, perform bending, twisting, stooping and crouching motions, and use strong gripping hand functions. In addition, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including ear, eye and toe protection.

We offer Competitive hourly rates, with a starting wage of $21.75 per hour (entry level) and a top out rate of $ $25.71.

DOUBLE TIME on Sundays and holidays

Shift differential for back shifts (approx. half of scheduled shifts per year)

Overtime assigned based on business needs and is not guaranteed

12-hour rotating shifts (front and back shift)

6:50-18:50; 18:50-6:50

One 48-hour week and one 36-hour week each pay period

Basic Qualifications:

Two years of high-speed manufacturing/production experience required (consecutive time preferred)

Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

High School Diploma or GED

2 years of continuous work experience

Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education (college courses and/or technical certificate.

Technical training.

Four or more years manufacturing experience

High mechanical aptitude

Proficient use of computers

Understanding of lean principles

Essential Accountabilities:

Deep understanding of all job duties and effective execution of packaging end functions.

Maintains required skill levels and knowledge of packaging processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and movement of goods.

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene in the department and follow housekeeping principles.

Accountable for in-process performance of the packaging processes.

Makes decisions on when to stop the machine when contamination or equipment issues may cause product to be out of specification.

Communicate causes and reasons for delay as accurately as possible to team leader.

Support key elements of the daily production planning process and equipment checks
