Responsibilities will include:

* Works under direct supervision performing routine and repetitive duties.

* On-the-job training is received in an area of technical specialty.

* Monitoring the roadways, including detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion with ITS devices such as closed circuit TV, detectors, etc.

* Act like an emergency dispatcher within a call center environment dispatching Road Rangers via a two-way radio system to assist motorists, respond to events and other activities that require timely and efficient responses.

* Other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a call center, dispatch center, or control room environment.

* Proficiency using Microsoft products, ATMS (Automated Traffic Management System) Software Suite.

* Self-motivated and excellent at multi-tasking; ability to perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment; thorough knowledge of the local roadway system. Ability and Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

* An intimate knowledge of state roadways, including their alternate names, the jurisdiction they are located, where the jurisdiction changes and alternate routes when available

* Previous experience as a transportation Traffic Management Center Operator
