Job Description
GPS, part of Genesis HealthCare, one of the nation's largest providers of skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapy, is a group practice of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and others who specialize in the holistic care of sub-acute, skilled nursing and long-term stay patients.
Join the GPS team as the Assistant Manager of Provider Credentialing where you will be the expert and department liaison for provider support in all issues related to credentialing.
Position Highlights
*Ensure compliance, monitor changes, and actively manage credentialing readiness processes.
*Develop and manage internal reports necessary to support ongoing payer credentialing compliance.
*Participate with Human Resources and the GPS Operations team in the new provider onboarding process.
*Prepare provider file and outstanding documents summary, with all credentialing items needed.
*Attend Zoom meetings with providers to welcome and prepare them for what is needed for the payer credentialing process. Continued provider follow up and support throughout the payer and center credentialing process.
*Train new department staff on all processes relating to payer credentialing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
*High school diploma or equivalent along with two or more related experience.
*Proficient use of technology and strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs.
*Effective communicator with excellent verbal/written skills.
