What you’ll do:
This position provides overall administrative and technical direction for a construction project. Responsible for overseeing total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, Architect/Engineer representatives, union officials, subcontractors, security, etc. This position plans, coordinates and/or supervises field activities of all subcontractors on assigned project(s); authorizes/approves all project purchase requisitions, change requests, etc; ensures all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to, and may need to interpret policies as required; maintains official project log and documentation files. Other duties include assisting with implementation/interpretation of safety programs; providing direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Specifically, the Construction Site Manager will provide, but not be limited to the following tasks and activities.
Completion Progress Monitoring:
Weekly and Monthly Meetings
Kickoff Meeting Participation
Commissioning Assistance, including review of contract requirements, system turnover and functional testing.
Help prepare and execute Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans, including adherence to relevant codes and standard, i.e., Welding code
Mobilization responsibility, including coordination with the subcontractor and customer for office space and administrative needs.
Ensure construction conforms to civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & controls drawings, specifications, and all other relevant codes
Liaison with engineering team
Monitor contract triggers
Assistance with operator training
Monitoring drawing submittals
Monitoring construction is per the drawing
Monitoring and track procurement, including deliveries and material qualities per contract/ bid spec. Monitor engineering process relative to procurement.
Monitoring and track construction, including qualities installed. Be aware whether engineering or procurement is slowing construction.
Lead the punch list process between substantial and final completion; leads the project turnover from construction through commissioning to operations; helps project team obtain closeout documentation
Safety
Help prepare and monitor site safety plans, including relative to customer and ENGIE procedures
JSA, safety topics, contractor support and safety awareness, monitor safe relative to code
Monitoring subcontractor manpower loading
Manage visitors and site corporate communication
Maintain housekeeping
Monitor site security
Change Management
Design Change Notices coordination and implementation
Field Change Notices coordination and implementation
Be aware of the project boundary and scope as well as scope interfaces and interconnections
Issue resolution and tracking in the RFI Log
Review and assist with change orders.
Environmental
Monitor and track environmental compliance during construction per permits, contracts and site procedures.
Monitor traffic.
Reporting
Review the subcontractors weekly and monthly reports
Provide Daily Report to Project Manager and assist as needed with the preparation of the Weekly and Monthly Reports.
Take digital photos of progress and specific issues as required.
Document project progress in Procore, including site photos, incident reports, safety documents, and daily logs and rosters, supporting the Labor Compliance Team as needed
Management and Communications
Provide constructability review of scopes during development and of subcontractor plans during implementation, determining if special operator access or maintenance provisions are required, reviewing Methods of Procedure plans and traffic control plans as needed
Manage customer requirements for site access and security for contractors (including keys/alarms); works with customer sites’ schedules/constraints to minimize construction impact to building occupants
Oversee AHJ, utility and special inspections to ensure project receives all necessary permit sign-offs, coordinating with Project Manager and Project Engineer as needed and managing outage requests with customers and utilities
Provide assistance with stakeholder interface and coordination.

Spare parts and Manual Management
Assistance the preparation of lesson learned and look back memo
Be aware of the Project Team Responsibility Matrix

Participant in tailboard meetings and collect JSA
Conduct morning and afternoon site walkdowns
Take numerous photos of site progress, including one photo each day from the same spot and view.
Will be the ENGIE on-site representative and point of contact.
What you bring:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or in a technical field from an ABET institution or equivalent in demonstrated experience
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) license is a plus
A minimum of five (5) of experience in management of construction for industrial or municipal projects with demonstrated success with a degree or a minimum of nine (9) without
Advanced understanding of design and construction of applicable energy/water scopes of work.
Ability to adhere to the highest safety standards
Mastery of problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Demonstrated ability to create a team culture of camaraderie, integrity and trust among the integrated project team members
Excellent interpersonal skills that include listening to other’s ideas and viewpoints and resolving team conflict situations
Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and ensure performance expectations and resultant outcomes are met
Experience in construction projects, working at sites, managing subcontractors, contracts administration and change management
Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) to be able to engage with all stakeholders including contractors and government agencies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and Procore
OSHA 30 certification
