Job Summary:
The Program Services Associate will provide services related to Program Manager relationship management, audit services, compliance and program analytics. This incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with Program Managers to maintain compliant, operational transparency between the client, SNC Client Services and Compliance. This position is part of a rotational development program within SNC Program Services and SNC Compliance. The descriptions for each are as follows:
Definitions of terms used in this document:
Program – Our product, this refers to the complete insurance product we have designed for the client. The Program Manager is then responsible for all aspects of running their Program (technical rate, rules, forms, administration, product and claims management, underwriting and risk exposure coverage.
Program Manager - assumes a duty of care to the insurer to ensure that the business is properly managed and controlled.
SNC Program Services
Develop and maintain professional relationships with Program Managers and Program TPAs.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with operational staff of SNC.
Acquire a robust understanding of each Program and ensure accurate, complete, and up to date customer profile is maintained. Report any discrepancies and anomalies that could potentially cause risk exposure to State National.
Assist in scheduling onsite visits (frequency and type) and special events.
Track and monitor outstanding items for Program Manager resulting from examination findings, onsite visits and other contact. Report findings to appropriate client manager.
Support and maintain program projection management process.
Review third party auditor vendor invoices/expense reports for contract compliance and report discrepancies and findings to client manager.
Review, produce, and distribute published examination reports completed for each Program.
Publish monitoring reports to provide performance metrics related to audits.
SNC Compliance
Responsible for insurance compliance administration activities (this includes for all states and all insurance lines)
Review for accuracy and appropriateness, reconcile to contract and/or penalties/fines, allocate to appropriate Program, and pay invoices from third party vendors and various DOIs.
Communicate on behalf of Program with State DOIs, Bureaus and Clients.
Take incoming calls from Program clients and provide appropriate solutions or guide the caller to the appropriate resource.
Acquire and maintain a basic knowledge of products and markets being served by SNC.
Additional Responsibilities
Support due diligence process, as needed.
Develop and maintain modeling tools, as required by management.
Develop an understanding of agency and reinsurance contracts.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with little supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be self-motivated and take initiative.
Strong customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes.
Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies.
Knowledge of property and casualty statutory compliance regulations preferred.
Knowledge of Program Manager operations preferred.
Knowledge of audit procedure and processes preferred.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Previous auditing experience helpful.
