Job Description

PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT

The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. Assists with the planning and provision of structured, age appropriate activities for patients under the guidance or direction of a Child Life Therapist. Monitors children’s activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children.

The part-time, day shift position is 24 hours/week, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm + every 3rd weekend.

*Current full vaccination status required.

High School Diploma / GED required
CNA Ohio License
BLS certification
One year of pediatric experience preferred
One year experience working with children preferred
Professional communication and effective management of information
Critical thinking (problem solving, creativity, decision making)
