JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager provides equipment master troubleshooting support in a 24-hour production environment to ensure the plant runs smoothly and efficiently. They provide guidance, maintain scheduling and distribute workload for Maintenance and Tooling personnel on all shifts in daily operations and other projects.
They aid design and implement process changes to improve cost, safety, quality, speed, data integrity and productivity. They are responsible for developing and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, Spare Parts Inventory System and Ordering System for Maintenance and Tooling in an effort to reduce downtime and scrap and increase productivity. They must be adaptable and able to find creative solutions to problems that may arise and assist in the implementation of predictive maintenance plans.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Proactive maintenance and modification of automated and computerized machinery and related data collection systems
Provide guidance, maintain scheduling and distribute workload for Maintenance and Tooling personnel on all shifts in daily operations and other projects.
Responsible for developing and maintaining Preventative Maintenance Program, Spare Parts Inventory System and Ordering System for Maintenance and Tooling in a effort to reduce downtime and scrap and increase productivity.
Communicate with Shift Leader/Supervisor as well as previous shifts concerning what is running, what needs to run, and any problems that have occurred on the previous shift.
Communicate with Scheduling on die changes and cell changeovers.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment and computerized/robotic assembly cells and presses and associated support equipment.
Communication, both verbally and written to keep the Plant Management informed of repairs, materials used or needed and downtime required.
Provide financial justification for new projects and improvements on existing maintenance systems.
Once approved, ensure completion of a project within allotted timeframe and budget.
Research companies for superior and more cost-effective products when implementing new systems or upgrading old ones.
Safely and effectively change tools in a timely manner.
Special projects, as required by the Plant Manager.
Keep automated industrial control systems current
Provide technical support when equipment fails or is producing poorly.
Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing, standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field or equivalent experience in engineering, maintenance automation or related fields
Five (5) plus years of related experience
Electrical experience
Experience troubleshooting and programming Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC hardware
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow, and give, oral and written instructions
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Strong understanding of products and production processes and knowledge of quality control standards and systems
Must be a self-starter who possesses initiative and is able to work with limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities to solve a wide range of business problems in dealing with complex machines and process problems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Should have excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.

Available and willing to work outside of normal work hours when needed to complete projects and support the assembly process.

Must have the ability to stand, sit and/or walk for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basis.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-50 pounds.
Frequently required to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Work Environment is indoors in a variety of settings including office, manufacturing floor and warehouse.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
