Job Description
Job Duties:
Researches, designs, and develops J2EE applications and high-quality computer software systems. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Works collaboratively with internal and external teams on projects. Consults with technical staff to evaluate both the integration between hardware and software and the operational and performance requirements of overall systems. Develops and directs software system technical design procedures, programming, and documentation. Works with functional architecture and quality assurance teams to review documentation and support those roles within the development lifecycle. Creates technical design documentation for software changes and development. Troubleshoots and resolves software issues. Consults with customers concerning the technical design and development of software applications and modifications. Maintains and enhances software applications and makes necessary modifications. Analyzes, designs and documents system implementation and extensions. Contributes to the development of project estimates, scheduling, and deliverables. Conducts code reviews for system modifications and development. Coordinates the efforts of other developers by assigning and reviewing development work. Establishes and maintains effective team communications to ensure client needs are met. Communicate with management team to apprise them of work progress. Proactively communicate any concerns or opportunities for better project delivery. Support sales meetings and calls as needed. Position is eligible for telecommuting. Domestic travel up to 25%.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or closely related field and 5 years of progressive experience in computer systems engineering.
Must possess the following:
• 5 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering custom software / integration solutions
• 5 years of experience working with off-shore teams.
• 3 years of experience in IT consulting
• 3 years of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Retail Xstore or Merchandising system
• Must possess experience with application servers, relational databases, design/development on Spring framework, Unix or Windows Scripting
