JOB SUMMARY:
To perform maintenance on all shop equipment, select building maintenance as deemed necessary by management, coordinate and support plant preventative maintenance systems, implement continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing process, fabricate structures such as, but not limited to, shelving and machine components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Machine set-ups and changeovers
Install, adjust, maintain and repair production equipment as assigned
Perform predictive, preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on production equipment
Repair, assemble, install and troubleshoot machinery including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic and mechanical systems
Calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation
Help maintain spare parts inventory and make proper notifications for ordering
Perform facility & production maintenance
Work with 5 VDC up to 480 VAC 3 phase power
Complete daily work orders in computerized maintenance management systems as assigned, tracking time, resources and materials used on-a-daily basis.
Operate and maintain required tools
Training and coaching of employees relative to the manufacturing process
Must execute duties with positive and helpful attitude
Execute 5S standards, cleaning and inspection
Adhere to all safety rules
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED
Experience troubleshooting equipment - electrical, mechanical, machining, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCs, vertical mill, lathe or surface grinders
Preferred experience with welding or basic fabrication.
Minimum two years of experience as a maintenance, electronics, mechanical, or robotics technician in a manufacturing or professional environment
Journeyman card highly preferred as an electrician, millwright, machine repair or pipefitter.
Robot automation experience preferred
Must provide own basic tools i.e., box end wrenches, sockets, ratchets, assorted wrenches, etc.
Must be able to pass a qualification/aptitude assessment as determined by Dana management.
Good communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and mechanical/electrical schematics to determine repair method for failed components
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, independently
Positive and helpful attitude
Self-motivated and results driven
Must be available and willing to work overtime as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift up-to 60 lbs.
Sitting, reaching, bending, squatting, standing, walking on cement floors daily, kneeling, crawling, and working at heights.
