Your role

Are you passionate about "the developer experience"? Are you excited by the prospect of helping to drive and deliver change that will positively impact the way every developer and engineer works in Group Technology? We are looking for a “frontend” software engineer who is passionate about User Experience to:
•design and develop high-quality front-end user experiences
•help develop a knowledge graph solution with emphasis on a frictionless user experience (UI / UX)
•help enhance the internal GCTO websites with features, and reusable styles and templates

Your team

You will be supporting the CTO function within the Group Technology. Our global team is unifying existing programs that support the tools and processes used by our development community, aligning them to our Cloud adoption agenda and driving the creation a developer/engineering experience. We are passionately working towards recognition of UBS as the "employer of choice" for technical talent in the Financial Services industry.

Your expertise

•ideally 3+ years of experience in software delivery environment
•in-depth front-end engineering skills; able to develop rich web-based UI/UX as well as having technical and architectural understanding of the entire application and infrastructure stack
•knowledgeable of best-practices for modern web-based UI/UX including design, development, testing, dependency management and packaging, etc
•experience with one or more major UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc)
•experience with Git and Linux command line
•understanding of Agile methodology
•high level of curiosity and awareness of emerging technologies, particularly in UI/UX and UI testing
•critical thinking skills that can handle ambiguity and demanding global stakeholder expectations
•fluent in English
