Work Hours/Shift: FT Days (9a to 5p) *must be available to sometimes cover 5a to 1p
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Collects soiled linen and clothing.
* Assists in the sorting of soiled articles.
* Responsible for all washing and drying of soiled articles sent to the laundry for cleaning.
* Transfers clean linens and distributes to wings according to their daily predetermined needs.
* Assists in labeling residents clothing as needed.
* Follows safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
* Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
* Reports defective equipment or needed repairs.
* Have a working knowledge of laundry policies and procedures.
* Assures that infection control practices are maintained.
* Coordinates isolation procedures when necessary.
* Reports all accidents/incidents to your supervisor or charge nurse.
* Attends staff education, training and other meetings
* Maintains professional conduct while interacting with residents
* Follows facility policies and procedures including but not limited to resident rights, infection control, dignity, etc.
* Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

* Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
* Ability to read, write, and speak English
Job Summary:
