Job Description

Raytheon Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide Linux/Unix system maintenance and engineering support to maintain high priority operational systems at a high level of availability and resolve problems based on mission criticality and guidance. This position is staffed as an 8x5 position (with possible after hours call-in responsibility).

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Senior skills performing setup, deployment, and maintenance on servers running a variety of operating systems to include LINUX primarily, but may also include Solaris, UNIX, and Windows
* Detects, isolates, documents, quickly reports, and seeks out solutions to resolve system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational system baseline, which includes collecting diagnostic data, performing troubleshooting tasks, restoring the system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system
* Performs routine and preventative maintenance such as general computer tasks, application loads, configuring user access, disk utilization, system loading and system monitoring
* Completes required documentation such as logging problems in discrepancy reporting tools, capturing the current system design for future reference and transition, responding to any assigned and related taskers
* Collects data describing the environment at the time of the failure and supports issue resolution which may include writing a root cause analysis, or knowledge articles for Tier 2
* Maintain system security across assigned systems based on corporate and customer policy
* Supports system engineering groups as required for ongoing analysis and integration efforts
* Communicate and collaborate with other program personnel to develop and implement system enhancements
* Train Tier 2 on any enhancements to existing applications
* Ensure CONOPs, or technical guides are kept current

Required Education/Experience:

* Bachelor's degree and 6 years of position related experience or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
* Ideal education/experience will demonstrate an extensive familiarity with system administration of systems running a variety of operating systems to include Windows, Linux, Unix and Solaris.

Requirements:

* An active and in-scope U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with C.I. polygraph.
* Must have good communication skills and analytical approach to effectively and accurately exchange information across a multi-location enterprise ~~~~
* Must have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
* Contribute to completion of project milestones under the specific guidance of program leadership
* Must be available to work after hours on a call-in basis
* Must have a current DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level I certification.

Desired Qualifications:

* Prior experience with TRITON program supported systems
* Prior experience working in the program's customer enterprise environment

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $78,900 to $146,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, education/training, and key skills.
