Description:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Diagnostic, Prognostic Health Management (DPHM) systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. Responsible for the collection and interpretation of data from sensing systems which are evaluated for use in health management applications. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Experience in a Machinery Health Management related field.
Candidate must have the communication skills required for effective interaction with LM management and engineers, customers, and suppliers on complex program and technical issues.
Candidate must be able to work without appreciable direction while exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to accomplishing assigned tasks to meet program goals and schedules.
Candidate must possess the analytical and organizational skills to effectively track, manage, and status multiple technical activities concurrently and when issues arise, effectively lead the team through successful resolution.
Proficiency with software development and data analytics tools and a demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new data analysis tools quickly. Highly effective communication and data presentation skills are required.
Desired Skills:
C/C++/C, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Solidworks, CATIA/3DX, or ANSYS.
Expertise with data acquisition systems.
Familiarity with advanced sensing technologies (e.g., fiber optic, surface acoustic wave, ultrasonic, camera-based).
