Enterprise Technology (ET) ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the most affordable possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.

The opportunity

As part of Global Tax Platform (GTP) team you will be part of a client technology organization that develops and maintains innovative solutions for our client-serving Tax professionals.

The purpose of the role, and the combined contributions of the roles of this team, is to serve the aggregate technology needs of a Tax Service Line and its products including building relationships with assigned practice areas and the various product sponsors, technical tax professionals, internal technology professionals, and third-party software vendors.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, results-oriented business analyst who is a great problem solver with deep and proven experience in delivering innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities

As a Portfolio Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

* Partnering with Product Management, Solution Delivery Leads, Platform Architects and other Portfolio Analysts in the definition and delivery of long-term business and technology solutions for one or more portfolio(s)
* Planning and managing the business analysis approach; communicating, driving and managing the business analysis effort for the Portfolio throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle
* Leading a team of BAs assigned to assigned program/portfolio project(s), ensuring comprehensive business analysis is performed on all projects across the assigned Portfolio/Programs. Also will perform the BA role directly as needed.
* Actively review requirements traceability for impact and coverage analysis throughout the Portfolio
* Understand, communicate, document and track dependencies that may exist between portfolios or product groups
* Ensure the team is delivering clear, concise and consumable functional and non-functional requirements during all phases of the software development lifecycle for the assigned portfolio
* Manage the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification and verification of multiple levels of requirements while providing continuous improvement to the process.
* Work with the Product Management and Analysis Community of Practice to ensure consistent application of the business analysis standards and advise on exceptions

Skills/Experience:

* Experience working effectively and building relationships with and between teams, external vendors and internal clients at varying executive levels
* Experience leading a team of BAs to provide analysis and requirements, ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of BA deliverables
* Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
* Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution
* Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives
* Ability to reconcile unstructured input from the business into a tangible set of requirements that leads to optimized business solutions
* Excellent organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to multitask on various projects in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change based on client needs
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications / Technical Skills:

* A bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
* 10+ years of relevant business analysis experience with 5+ years of experience in enterprise/portfolio business analysis
* Expert on industry-standard, structured business analysis techniques (i.e., user stories, use cases, UML/logical modelling, BABOK, etc.) appropriately modifying according to the decided software development methodology (i.e., Agile, Iterative, SCRUM, RUP, Waterfall, etc.) in use.
* Deep knowledge and experience with Agile, SCRUM and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
* Tax or Finance domain background or experience

Ideally, youll also have

* Master's degree in Information Technology/Computer science
* CBAP or CBATL certification
* Experience using, training and driving others to use requirements management and modelling tools
