Are you ready to design and build the next generation of satellite mission planning systems that will fly a satellite in geosynchronous orbit? Do you want to work in a fast-paced agile environment? Our team is looking for a strong Systems Engineer with domain knowledge of mission planning and scheduling or command and telemetry systems. In this position, you will be a part of a team of engineers interacting with software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied. We're seeking a candidate who is passionate about their craft, unyielding about product quality and focused on our customers mission.
The selected candidate for this role will:
- Perform in an accelerated, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors
- Ensure consistency of requirements and traceability back to customer objectives
- Develop features and acceptance criteria for the requirements to ensure that the system is able to meet the requirements
- Perform system trades and analysis
- Utilize DOORS or similar tool to maintain the system baseline and implement change control
- Support the successful execution of program Design Reviews
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline experience with knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes
- Experience with Agile Methodologies and working with Agile teams leveraging Scrum, Kanban, or other methodologies
- Familiar with DOORS or similar tool for requirements management, decomposition, and publication
- Familiarity with program and design review process (SRR, PDR, IDR, FDR, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
Desired Skills:
- Systems Engineering experience with development of CONOPs, requirement analysis, systems architecture (operational, functional, physical), systems analysis, and complete understanding of system lifecycles from system concept through system delivery.
- Domain Experience and/or Understanding: Command and Control (C2), Mission Management, Planning and Scheduling, Orbital Mechanics
- Experience in providing support to enterprise test activities to oversee end-to-end mission thread verification
- System interface design & Interface Control Document development
