Job Description:
Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:
* Develops and maintains mission-critical synthetic monitoring tools, deployment automation, and reports/analytics
* Provides direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs.
* Participates in architecture and software development activities.
* Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
* Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
Software Engineer Qualifications/Skills:

* Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
* BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study
* 8+ years of experience in software development and systems automation
* Familiarity with agile software development in Python, php, and javascript
* Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, and Jenkins
* Significant experience with Linux systems
* Experience with the following network technologies
* Routers, VPNs, Proxies, Load Balancers
* Significant experience with a public cloud offering (GCP is preferred)
* Experience with Terraform and salt/Ansible
* Experience with Mysql management and SQL
Bonus Skills:
* Experience with splunk or splunk like tool
* Experience with monitoring via SNMP
