YOUR ROLE

The Business Systems Analysis Manager is a multi-faceted role that focuses on collaborating across Investments teams to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve investments data quality, systems, and business processes. You will work directly with front office customers to identify gaps and opportunities within our reports and processes, influence the direction of projects and drive new initiatives forward. As a team lead within our group, you establish standardized documentation formats, processes and procedures as well as educating and coaching our analysts on these topics. Additionally, you will be involved in multiple high-profile projects across investments through requirements documentation, developmental support and testing.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Define and document scope, requirements, process flows and data mapping and provide the advocacy necessary to drive them forward
* Establish and maintain standard requirements documentation, processes and practices
* Coach fellow program managers on these items and push to improve the teams ability to serve our clients
* Work closely with development teams to assist with the design and implementation of new capabilities
* Track, assist with and perform user acceptance and production testing leveraging multiple tools (DVT, Python, Excel, PractiTest, JIRA)
* Collaborate with and guide peers in product management and other disciplines to ensure alignment and common success
* Explore the problem space, interact with clients, formulate the vision and maintain the roadmap for your area, keeping it aligned with the companys strategic priorities.
* Identify and investigate process and data issues by employing a structured approach to problem solving
* Leverage reporting and business intelligence expertise to help implement/improve reporting environments in an Investments Enterprise Data Management system
* Build and manage reports and dashboards leveraging Incorta, Excel, and Business Objects
* Leverage reporting and business intelligence expertise to help implement/improve reporting environments in an Investments Enterprise Data Management system
* Collaborate with Investments business and IT teams to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve investments data, systems and business processes
* Document processes and requirements, testing solutions, and building productive working relationships within both IT and Investments
* Establish and maintain detailed working knowledge of investments reporting, trading and accounting systems, and business processes; recognize key interdependencies among system components
* Participate or lead ad hoc projects as assigned

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple levels of the organization. Multiple projects and tasks may be occurring at the same time so flexibility, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong desire to learn are essential. As this role frequently interfaces with IT as well as clients, a strong understanding of system and data structure, reporting best practices, and business processes is required as well. Other required qualifications include:

* Bachelors Degree in a business, analytical, or technical discipline
* Strong knowledge of asset management including a minimum 5 years of experience in financial services or investments
* Extensive hands-on experience with Excel, SAP Business Objects, SQL and general Business Intelligence tools
* Ability to recognize and communicate key interdependencies among system components
* Ability to conduct analysis and generate conclusions within a dynamic and active environment
* Advanced understanding of Excel and Excel formulas
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word
* Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to audiences at multiple organizational levels
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and processes
* Understanding of QA processes and experience with testing large sets of data
* Ability to conduct analysis and generate conclusions within a dynamic and active environment with little advanced notice
* Experience with data mapping, including end-to-end system integration across multiple platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* MBA and/or CFA Certification (complete or in progress)
* Experience with Markit EDM/Cadis or Incorta
* Experience with the BlackRock Aladdin suite including Security Master, AladdinView, and Green Package
* Experience working in an insurance company
