Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Associate engagement: communicating job expectations and goals; planning, monitoring, and appraising training and development; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees when necessary; ensure company policies, and procedures are being followed.
* Participate in Kaizen events. Continuously work to improve our processes, standard work and work instructions.
* Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
* Sustain 5S efforts and contribute to a safe and clean work environment by educating and coaching personnel on the importance of 5S to maintain a World Class facility.
* Follow leaders standard work and perform layered process audits
* Learn and utilize DBS tools: Problem Solving Process (PSP), Daily Management (DM), Standard Work (SW), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Etc.
* Complete production build plan by scheduling and assigning personnel to appropriate work areas; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of on shift production summaries.
* Ensure proper operation of equipment by escalating issues for repairs
* Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
* Stay current with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
* Create a team environment while focusing on the companys core value drivers and leadership anchors.
* Being a leader that embraces diversity and inclusion.
* Understand and utilize our business systems to perform job tasks
* Talent Assessment/Management: Recruit, interview, select, on-board, train and develop top talent.
* Hold regular 1:1s with direct reports and develop comprehensive Performance 4 Growth (P4G) and Development 4 Growth (D4G) Plans.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

* Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
* For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

* High School degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
* 3 to 5 years in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment; 2 years minimum in a leadership role

Knowledge and skills:

* Possess the skills necessary to create and lead a culture of commitment to the values vital to organizational development and growth
* Proven ability to deliver productivity to plan
* Problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action/preventative action
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse groups, incorporate the input of others to improve our processes, and align with internal customers
* Committed to developing and empowering others; to accomplish goals through the skills of persuasion, influence and negotiation
* Must have excellent communication skills (listening, written, verbal, presentation)
* Ability to interface and exchange information with all levels within the company's workforce
* A team player that works with management and technicians to strive for continuous improvement
* Knowledge of bills of materials and other planning activities
* Supervisory/leadership background
* Demonstrated proficiency of manufacturing systems and requirements

Physical requirements/abilities:

* Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.
* Stand for extended durations while on the shop floor

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience in a clinical diagnostic or medical device environment
* Statistical, Lean, and Six Sigma training
* Knowledge and experience with IQ, OQ and PQ validations
* cGMP/GLP experience is highly preferred
