Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
The Senior District Manager oversees the janitorial activities and ensures operations, contractual, and financial duties of the district are successful and meet business goals and objectives. This position maintains budgets, quality standards and positive customer relations with key focus on retention of account. This position ensures 100 compliance with all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Directs, implements and carries out company initiatives in the field and is main liaison between field management and branch personnel.
* Strategic planner and responsible for growth development of the district.
* Responsible for producing new business in the areas of contract and tag sales.
* Establishes operational goals to ensure profitability of accounts, services, budgets and compliance.
* Maintains and develops customer service through meetings, tours, written communication, and timely response to customer requests.
* Maintains, follows up and resolves union issues with the assistance of HR.
* Financial acumen to oversee and maintain budget controls and staff forecasting.
* Hires, trains, motivates, and directs staff on corporate goals, policy and procedures, customer relations, and account objectives.
* Communicates changes in account contracts, budgets and status with other managers.
* Prepares and distributes weekly operational reports.
* Delegates work assignments matches the responsibilities to the person gives authority to work independently sets expectations and monitors delegated activities. Includes staff in the decision-making process takes responsibility for staff activities makes self available to staff provides regular performance feedback develops subordinates skills, and encourages growth.
* Demonstrates conflict resolution skills in a union and non-union environment.
* Performs other duties as assigned or requested.:
Minimum Requirements:
* Five to seven (5-7) years of janitorial experience, management and customer service.
* Four year degree or equivalence in experience.
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
* Supervisory and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in MS office products.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently without daily supervision.
* Confidentiality and discretion in customer dealings.
* This position requires valid drivers license in good standing, and ability to pass extensive ABM and Client background check.
