Job Summary

Under limited supervision, utilizes knowledge and skills gained through experience or training to provide advanced support of a function within a unit or department. Serves as the liaison between senior management and the RJ Bank in coordinating loan pricing approvals for the Loan Pricing Desk. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is difficult in nature and that requires some evaluation, originality and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions. Maintains extensive contact with internal and external customers to identify, research and resolve problems. Adapts procedures, processes, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the liaison between various groups to ensure accuracy of Securities Based Lending (SBL), Margin, and Structured Loan discount setups.
Ensures effective coordination occurs within assigned work group and with other work groups.
Handles escalated issues, and supports others to resolve complex problems primarily related to loan discounts.
Interprets and applies organizational policies and procedures.
Reviews, evaluates and implements process improvements, as appropriate.
Reviews and evaluates suggestions for additional controls to improve current processes.
Coordinates with senior management on the presentation and preparation of internal reports that can be quickly reviewed by management.
Establishes objectives and develops processes and procedures to ensure efficient and timely work flow.
Schedules, reports, and tracks information for the department.
Performs periodic reporting on work progress, project completions and additional ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Assists in orienting, training and coaching employees.
May be designated to serve in a team lead function.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

Basic mathematical calculations.
Key internal and/or external contacts to request assistance from or utilize expertise.
Concepts, principles and practices of loan discounts and FA compensation.
Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
Principles of banking and finance operations.
Financial markets and products.

Skill in

Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
Implementing processes and procedures for efficient and timely work flow.
Promoting effective coordination between work groups.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a financial services environment required, preferably focused in banking.
OR ~
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.
