As a part of our continued growth we are looking for dedicated and passionate Mechanics in our Repair and Rebuild department with our Heavy Truck Division. As a Mechanic you will be responsible for bumper to bumper repair of diesel trucks including diagnosing, adjusting and repairing all series of motor trucks, including, but not limited to the following: engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and drivelines. The Mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. Essential Job Duties:

* Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
* Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
* Maintain work area appearance and safety.
* Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
* Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
* Maintain a clean, safe working condition and practices within the department. Attends and participates in all relevant training programs established by the company and OSHA guidelines. Immediately reports any safety issues to management.

Job Requirements:

* High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
* Minimum of 5 years of general and diesel experience with Heavy Duty Trucks preferred.
* Experience with Hydraulic press.
* Must be forklift certified or obtain it within 6 months of hire date.
* General understanding of how to use basic tools and torches.
* Strong knowledge of EPA rules, OSHA regulations and Standard safety with hazardous chemicals and adhere to all required standards.
* Must possess a valid driver's license; clean MVR, current auto insurance and the ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle. Must have CDL in order to perform test drives.
* Some tech school; 5+years' experience diagnosing, overhauling, adjusting and repairing all series of motor trucks, including, but not limited to the following: engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and drivelines preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to routine hazards and the work environment of the truck repair industry. While in the shop area will work on concrete floors, sometimes wet environment, moderate noise is typical, with occasional exposure to loud noises, moderate exposure to air borne particles and fumes, and moderate exposure to hot, cold (non-weather), some risk of electrical shock. Some time is spent outdoors and exposure to weather. Some work is conducted in an office environment with moderate and typical noise levels, moderate exposure to air borne particles and fumes.

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
