Vertical Marketing Manager, News Partnerships

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring we execute the Facebook company News Partnerships Marketing strategy and plans around topics related to journalism, integrity, social impact, and economic opportunity. As Vertical Marketing Manager, News Partnerships, you will work closely with News Partnerships and Policy teams to manage marketing campaigns, public messaging, content strategy, and scaled initiatives around Facebooks work with the news industry. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and can both think strategically and execute.

Vertical Marketing Manager, News Partnerships Responsibilities

* Lead development of news policy marketing global plan and master narrative

* Develop and create a wide range of marketing materials and informational content including blog posts, key messaging, and collateral for influential audiences

* Create programs, case studies, and web content that help educate key audiences on how Facebook works and how Facebook partners with the news industry

* Execute marketing and content distribution campaigns to support product launches, announcements, and e-Learning resources

* Work with our Communications, Policy, Legal, Product, Partnerships, and Global/Regional Marketing teams to execute marketing strategies, effectively communicate information, and drive cross-functional alignment

* Set clear expectations and track project timelines for the creative team and cross-functional stakeholders

* Assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger team

* Oversee contractors and marketing agencies in the execution and delivery of marketing campaigns and assets

* Work with leadership to communicate and get buy-in for strategic marketing plans, while also being able to execute as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, policy or equivalent work experience

* 10+ years experience of marketing and content storytelling

* Experience in public policy, public affairs, strategic response

* Experience creating messaging materials, blog content, and collateral

* Experience working under deadlines and shifting priorities

* Experience managing large, complex programs within a cross-functional environment, spanning multiple groups within a complex organization

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience distilling complex policy or technology concepts into plain language

* Experience in media and journalism

* Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships in fast-paced and ambiguous environments

* Experience developing marketing programs and events
