DESCRIPTION

Bring your business intelligence experience to help us build the future of Amazons ShopLocal program for heavy/bulky product offerings and services!

We seek an experienced, entrepreneurial analyst who couples deep SQL competence and data management expertise with a keen eye for process efficiency and consistent data accuracy to help us scope, build and launch an entirely new local selling channel on Amazon. In this high-profile role, you will help own the build-out of a new reporting layer, and deliver high-quality business insight to support our Sales, Business Development and Account Management functions.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, Customer obsessed, versed in building and optimizing complex BI capabilities, and comfortable with ambiguity, bringing a proven track record of successfully using Customer insights to remove obstacles and grow a business. Day-to-day success means operating with an increasing level of efficiency as you prioritize and execute against both open-ended and established reporting and analytics requests, while leveraging an operational mindset to scale your productivity and remove defects in our reporting portfolio. Long-term success means owning key goals across network efficiency, defect reduction, and channel scale while innovating across multiple dimensions. You must be an effective communicator, a strong collaborator across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, and able to work independently and as a leader of peers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Own the day-to-day reporting and analytics capability, including report build-out, quality check and automation.
2. Influence the build out of a world-class set of automated and scalable tools supporting selection identification, Seller recruiting and performance management.
3. Act as a business expert, delivering actionable Customer and Seller insights to our Category, Recruiting, Account Management and Marketing teams
4. Own reporting execution, building for scale and optimizing for efficiency, while owning core deliverables for real-time program insight and analytics optimization
5. Establish expertise in data management, extraction, and program performance and measurement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. A bachelor's degree in an analytical or business field, or comparable business experience with technical background
2. 3+ years' experience in Operations or Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, or equivalent role
3. Advanced mastery of SQL, along with proven proficiency in building reporting constructs that deliver meaningful insight and calls to action for a global business team
4. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem.
5. Communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems through simple means.
6. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired and ambiguity is the norm.
2. Improve performance to plan by identifying, measuring and managing key metrics related to Customer engagement, Seller onboarding and program performance.
3. A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done.
4. Experience driving results in cross-functional organizations
5. Demonstrated bias for action and passion for delivering a great customer experience
