Boeing Talent Acquisition is looking for a highly motivated Design and Analysis Engineer 3 to join our team in St. Louis, MO. The successful candidate will work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
* This position is a mid-career Electrical Engineer for Ground support equipment, supporting F-15 and F/A-18 Electrical systems.
* Provides real-time operational support and technical expertise in the testing and troubleshooting of a variety of Electrical Systems.
* The support equipment engineering team designs, acquires, coordinates set-up, and provides training and test procedures needed to successfully overhaul and repairs systems.
* The successful candidate will provide detailed reports regarding production progress, delivery metrics, shipping locations, issues and resolutions to issues while interfacing and providing direction or information to multiple disciplines including Management, Procurement, Contracts, Supplier Management, Quality, Shipping, Order Management, and Business Operations.
* The candidate will interface directly with the customer (USN, USAF, USMC, and USA) and their representatives (DGAR and DCMA).
* Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
* Must have the ability to work multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail.
* Takes ownership of problems and find resolution for our customers. Some level of travel will be expected. Mentors others. Works independently.
This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Export Control Requirement:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent from accredited school of engineering
* 5+ years of Engineering, experience
* Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
* Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments
* Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events
* Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment
* The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with any of the following is desired:
* Strong Electrical Military Aircraft experience with preferable F-15 and F/A-18 knowledge.
* Proposals and Estimates experience preferable
Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
