The Amazon Robotics Global Safety and Support (GSS) Team is responsible for providing technical support to internal fulfillment and transportation network customers that rely on advanced robotics technology to fulfill and ship customer orders. As part of the GSS umbrella, the Emerging Tech Services (ETS) Team supports a suite of newer technologies across five major categories: Robotic Work Cells, Pack Automation, Sortation Automation, Directed Palletization and Autonomous Mobility.
In this role on the ETS team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the execution of Hardware Support processes and mechanisms (e.g. CAPA, Retrofits, Field Audits) to facilitate fielded hardware reliability and performance management. In this role you will also lead deep dives into product performance issues and/or systemic to understand the root cause of the issue and develop corrective/preventive actions for these. You are expected to work independently with a strong sense of ownership in a complex, fast-paced, and high-ambiguity environment where multi-tasking is required.

Core Job Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and lead the execution of multiple concurrent Continuous Improvement Programs (CAPA, Retrofits).
Develop and implement mechanisms and standard work resolve issues impacting the safety, reliability, and performance of advanced robotics systems
Lead performance analyses to identify root cause of issues, and develop containment, mitigation and corrective action plans.
Manage projects of significant complexity, involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Up to 25% travel required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years related experience.
3+ years experience in a customer facing, service and support role.
2+ years experience leading technical teams.
Excellent written and oral communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Experience leading disciplined technical problem-solving. Demonstrated experience with 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and FMEA, among others.
Experience with managing projects and industry standard project management tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree preferred
Previous experience in a customer-facing hardware centric support or services role
Experience creating training and technical documentation
Experience with handling large data sets and developing visualization tools using Tableau or Minitab
