Title: Hardware Dev Engineer I

Location: Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities:

Drive multiple projects, including colocation deployments and retrofitting legacy buildings. Develop new processes or standards and test new innovations in the colocation space. Develop project scope, specifications and engineering drawings. Drive the colocation lifecycle. Decipher mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings. Work with colocation data center providers to provide operating environment to site staff. Innovate and simplify the deployment process, ensuring systems are deployed and commissioned to Amazon standards. Analyze proposals and participate in vendor selection.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering technology, computer science, management of information systems, or other related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year experience in the following skills: designing, installing, configurating or servicing industrial building automation and electrical monitoring control systems; understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, networks, and standard operating procedures; and project management software. Domestic and international travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
