Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will be responsible for the verification and approval of the engineering design and installation packages for all Pressure Relief Devices (PRD) in the PA Region. The Reliability Engineer PRD Specialist will support Project and Maintenance Management by providing recommendations when the engineering design or physical installations are not in compliance with client and government standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical support to the site engineering teams for mechanical equipment and mechanical fixed assets (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, Condition Based Monitoring, Risk Based Inspection).

Maintain and update client databases for both PRD and Pressure Vessels.

Based on client requests, review and approve engineering calculations for PRDs design and application. Provide guidance and assistance on engineering standards and code requirements for PRDs. Perform field inspections and verifications of PRD installations.

Develop Preventative Maintenance (PM) frequencies and associated Scope of Work (Job Plans). Insure equipment records are up-to-date by creating, updating and deleting records in the CMMS (MAXIMO).

Determine appropriate groups and stocking quantities for PRDs.

Build custom reports based on client requests.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years related industry experience. Non-degreed candidates possessing equivalent experience with Pressure Vessels/Pressure Relief Devices will be considered

None.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel.
