Job Description

CBRE is looking for a Data Analyst to perform collection, cleansing, and upload of CMMS Data for a large technology client in Sunnyvale, CA. This is not a remote role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate the collection, cleansing, and upload of CMMS Data. Interact with customers and the system to facilitate the full lifecycle of Data Collection for CMMS Data. Participate on improvement projects to the systems used to facilitate the data collection processes. Perform analysis on data to resolve issues. Make necessary preparations to support the Data Collection and upload process.

The role of Data Quality Analyst facilitates the life cycle of CMMS data collection for construction projects. The role maintains the content of dashboards and provides regular reports to stakeholders. The role takes requests and launches Data Collection projects. Each project is validated against the Data Quality Business Rules, then the role engages the correct resources to complete the validations. The role works with the requesters to make the required corrections to completion. The role will guide the data to the final upload. The role will participate in improvement projects for the systems that are used to facilitate the delivery of CMMS Data.
The role prepares template, files, data, and other requirements to support the data collection and upload process. The role will also perform data analysis to determine the correct course of action for reported issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Quality Program Manager keeps the Data Collection process and Data Quality issue resolution on track. This is critical because the data loaded in the CMMS is the basis for Maintenance activities. Data must be accurate and on time for the operation to keep a high degree of reliability.

Specific Responsibilities

* Support the identification, anomaly detection, and cleansing of data from various sources.
* Track the progress of all Data Collection projects using dashboards.
* Create, update, and close bugs for all Data Collection projects.
* Update bugs as required to progress, communicate, and memorialize actions taken in each Data Collection project.
* Prepare templates, files, data and other requirements to support data collection, upload, and issue correction.
* Perform data analysis to determine options for reported data quality issues.
* Support alignment of data to the standards
* Interact with internal customers regarding data and issue correction.

* Build and communicate status reports

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from top tier school in computer science, math, engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture, and SQL, SAS and/or SPSS including 2-3 years technical experience in software development, machine learning or statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization related work.

Minimum (preferred) Qualifications
5+ Years of experience working with relational databases and CMMS software.
Experience using CMMS and Spreadsheets
Effective organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to interface and operate within cross functional groups
Strong verbal and written communication skills
User-focused, collaborative and a team player
Ability to clearly communicate and escalate issues to stakeholders
Ability to interact regularly to Data Quality team members, and customer in various time zones
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Experience working in database administration, application administration or other data-driven roles.
Experience using Maximo and Google Sheets
BS degree in engineering or management

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Experience with Microsoft BI stack (e.g., SSRS) a bonus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong analytical skills.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
