The Marketing Department has an opening for a Senior Copywriter. This position is located in Boise, Idaho.
Position Purpose
The Senior Copywriter is directly responsible for providing copy throughout our enterprise for use across all channels including in-store, print, digital and social media. The Senior Copywriter will support the brand creative team in a variety of projects related to advertising, marketing, content, etc.
This role requires excellent writing skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple projects under extremely short timelines, and a passion for creative writing that sells.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Write high-engagement social media content the clearly reflects the brand's voice.
* Collaborate with a range of marketing teams to develop a variety of marketing materials for channels including print, digital, social, email and beyond.
* Produce error-free content that adheres to company and brand style guidelines.
* Interpret creative concepting and direction into persuasive copy.
* Simultaneously manage multiple projects with extremely short deadlines
* Stay up to date on the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms.
* Maintain a solid knowledge and understanding of SEO concepts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 2-5 years of copy writing experience.
* Strong creative eye with a foundational understanding of branding and voice
* Detail-oriented with the ability to successfully edit a variety of copy efficiently and effectively.
* Highly organized with strong prioritization skills
* Strong computer skills, very well versed in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel specifically).
* Well versed in digital and social media creative best practices.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate to a variety of stakeholders clearly and professionally at all levels of the organization.
* Friendly with a can-do attitude, with the ability to maintain effective business relationships at all levels of the company and business community.
* Must be a self-starter who can work well with change, uncertainty, and various situations (from well-defined to unstructured) and proactively identify business improvement areas and greater efficiencies.
* Customer service focus and passion
* Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet all deadlines and expectations.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless
determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
