The Marketing Department has an opening for a Product Manager. This position is located in Pleasanton, CA but will be remote to start.

Position Purpose

The eCommerce Marketing Innovation team at Albertsons Companies is at the intersection of retail, innovation, and technology. Our role within the Albertsons Marketing pillar is to collaborate with world leading technology partners to evolve the grocery shopping experience and lead the space for digitally native shoppers. The Marketing Innovation team will be bringing to market new grocery shopping experiences at unprecedented scale and impact.

Our team is looking for a visionary Product Manager responsible for concept, design and the build of new and innovative grocery experiences. The Product Manager will report to the Lead Product Manager for Marketing Innovation and will be responsible for the end to end development of their product track. The Product Manager will be expected to lead v1 releases, from design to implementation, and then use KPI tracking and feedback to inform a roadmap of iteration and growth.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Develop overall marketing innovation product strategy in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to ideation, development and ultimately launch of industry leading shopping experiences
* Track and report on progress, performance and future iterations
* Use and Agile methodology to plan, refine and release product iterations
* Build business requirements and user stories for new experiences, balance with the need to iterate existing products
* Ability to think big, then break down work into manageable sprits when it's time to execute
* Contribute to defining wireframes, prototypes, MVPs, features and pilots with internal and external stakeholders
* Define, analyze and visualize customer journeys
* Research and identify customer segments for new innovation initiatives
* Cultivate partnerships across Albertsons to ensure each integration is fully supported by our Shopping Experience, Loyalty and Fulfillment teams
* Institute rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results
* Report out metrics for test results and for general product health
* Navigate barriers, roadblocks or legacy thinking to accomplish marketing innovation goals
* Communicate state of department via presentations, town halls, and video conferences with senior leadership and extended company audiences
* Foster an Agile mindset and use it to execute across a large, matrixed enterprise

Qualifications:

* Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years as a Product Manager
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or related field. MBA a plus
* Experience with Scrum and Agile development process a plus
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to handle multiple active projects and priorities
* Thorough understanding of ecommerce, online consumer shopping behavior
* Experience developing for/with consumer technologies such as search, voice, payment and geo-location..
* Ability to communicate a product vision and build a coalition to ensure it is realized
* Excellent communication and presentation skill
* Ability to apply creative thinking to overcome obstacles and barriers

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho.
