The Origination Analyst will report to the Distributed Generation (DG) teams Director of Origination, and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including developing models and performing quantitative analyses on specific project opportunities and on new technologies. This work includes analyzing tariffs, evaluating system performance, quantifying regulatory/incentive impacts, and generating project pro formas, among other things. Other responsibilities include researching and analyzing markets and technologies and applying critical information to help the Origination team make strategic decisions. This role will also provide the back-office support to the front-office sales team by working on market intelligence materials, developing presentation materials for potential customers, and managing all of the Origination teams reporting needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Conducts quantitative analyses on projects and products
* Tracks DG market developments, including regulatory programs, energy price trends, capital markets, tax equity and investor activities
* Researches customers, their business models, and their energy/sustainability/ESG goals
* Helps define DGs competitive landscape and generates competitor analysis reports
* Performs regular analysis of the Origination pipeline to ensure progress and identify trends that inform the business
* Prepares customer-facing presentation materials
* Assists in the preparation of materials to support internal project approvals
* Works with the Director to prepare for strategy and calibration meetings
* Manages Origination reporting needs to upper management
* Researches potential tools that can improve the efficiency of the Origination team
* Produces CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Overview
The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the back office support to the front office to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.

Researches public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team
Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
Prepares customer presentation materials
Manages origination reporting needs to upper management
Assists in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis
Coordinates efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
