Work Hours/Shift

PRN - Nights

You Will Be Responsible for:

* Reviews patient history, physical information, medications, procedure request and study protocol.

* Explains procedure and orients patient to the sleep center.

* Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary.

* Apply electrodes and sensors per accepted standards.

* Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.

* Perform positive airway pressure mask fitting

* Produces optimal recordings of EOG, EMG, EKG, SaO2, airflow, respiratory effort, CPAP and BIPAP.
Qualifications
What you will need?

* Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies or successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and or nationally accredited educational facility
* Must have CPR certification in Basic Life Support
* RPSGT /RRT-SD Certification
* BLS
* Minimum of 6 months experience preferred
* ACLS preferred

Job Summary

The Polysomnographic Technologist will deliver safe and effective care, which is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the direction of a registered polysomnographic technologist and the clinical coordinator to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.
