Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by loading green coffee into the cleaning and storage system in the roasting plant. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

* Coordinates with Advanced Coffee Roasting System (ACRS) and devanning partners to ensure schedules are met. Assists with coaching and mentoring of new loader technicians.
* Loads green coffee into the Green Coffee Cleaning and Green Coffee Silo Storage system. Ensures inventory accuracy. Maintains records and completes map of incoming product dock (IPD) for green coffee.
* Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
* Operates forklift to transport green coffee from storage locations in the plant to the loading platform area.
* Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the loading station and green coffee silo storage areas. Advises maintenance partners of conditions impairing safe and correct operation of green coffee loading and transfer systems. Works in accordance with established safety and sanitation procedures and guidelines.
* Performs clean-up and scheduled sanitation tasks.

Summary of Experience

* Production or distribution environment (2 years)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to lift up to 150 pounds in a safe manner
* Ability to understand written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards
* Basic math skills
* Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards
* Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines

Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent degree preferred
* Forklift Operator certification or the ability to obtain certification
