Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
The selected candidate will be the Mission Effectiveness Modeling Domain and Accuracy Lead. Lead the Weapon System (WS) accuracy team in definition and development of WS accuracy Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS amp;A) working cross the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and deliver an integrated WS accuracy solution through design, assessment, to WS validation. Conduct system-level modeling and analysis: develop and integrate physics based models and simulations for mission and system performance and survivability assessments. Requires an understanding of model verification and validation, analysis validation and verification, and implementation in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment. Solid SE experience with a focus in physics based performance modeling, model maturation, and analysis requirement definition and model verification and validation. Requires cross team coordination, cross IPT and mission/system thinker.
Strong, open communicator with systems and mission engineering emphasis with specific interest/experience in system performance, Mod/Sim and analysis. Experience with large system performance analysis, TPM reporting, model development and validation, certification, and system verification via analysis is desired. Experience a broad spectrum of phenomenology, able to work across multiple disciplines and classification environments, experience with early system definition and MBSE is desired. Strong working knowledge of MatLab, Python, C++ are also key skills.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Qualification

* 14 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
* Technical leadership; mentorship for junior engineers
* Team player; Strong Technical amp; Communication; Technical Writer; Requirements analysis
* Technical depth of Modeling, Simulation, amp; Analysis and WS Accuracy
* Active DoD Top Secret clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
bull; Experience with model based system engineering (MBSE) environment trained in the practice of using modern modeling languages like SysML, UML, UPDM and knowledgeable of the DoDAF and MoDAF frameworks
