Position Overview

The Senior SharePoint Software Engineer is responsible for maintaining, developing, and supporting Kiewits expansive SharePoint efforts. A successful candidate will assist the product teams efforts to empower the organizations use of SharePoint as a business collaboration tool by applying developer skillsets to user stories. The role will be crucial in SharePoint project estimations, developing new solutions, and supporting existing deployments. This position will report to a Software Engineering Manager.

District Overview

Kiewit Technology Groups (KTG) mission is to deliver project schedule and cost certainty by employing technology designed by and for the construction industry. Our team deploys apps to the field that increase profitability by maximizing the way we use our people and resources in daily operations. KTG uses the Kiewit Management System (KMS), which includes systems and tools that manage every part of Kiewits business and lifecycle of a project, to improve planning and day-to-day execution in the field by giving our people real-time data to make faster, smarter decisions. Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance designing and solutioning applications.
Analyze, design, code, debug, and test business builds.
Remain knowledgeable of new and emerging technologies and their impact on the business.
Effectively collaborate with analysts, architecture, product owners, management, and users to conceptualize and develop solutions.
Play a leading role in the definition of requirements, objective, deliverables, documentation, and deliverables on projects.
Develop low/no code solutions with O365 products (SharePoint, Power Platform, Forms etc.)
Help migrate sites from legacy on-prem farm to SharePoint online's modern templates and solutions.
Development level support for existing projects.

Qualifications

Highly motivated, self-starting, and self-directed
5+ years of experience in SharePoint Development
Proficient in SharePoint O365, 2013, and 2010.
Knowledgeable in SharePoint Designer
Knowledgeable in HTML
Knowledgeable in JavaScript
Abilities to listen and understand user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Interpersonal skills with an aptitude for communicating technical issues to both peers and non-technical staff.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and write clearly and concisely.
Customer focus - understanding the needs of the internal or external customer and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledgeable of Agile methodology

Bonus Points:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering
Knowledge in Power Apps
