Description:
Performs MRP controller material planning for buy items for manufacturing programs at Clearwater Operations. Has responsibility for multiple program material schedules and coordinates receiving and material stores priorities. Supports input and maintenance of material requirements into MRP system. Supports operations and program teams with; managing applicable parameters associated with detailed material planning, taking a master schedule to produce a time-phased set of component part and raw material requirements, coordinates setting ERP material parameters (I/C, shrink) with assistance from the IPT, generates material plans targeting 6 gross procure inventory turns, produces requirements file for target price establishment, requests contingency planning when targets are not available and acts as a Gate keeper for target process, routes SOP issues to appropriate IPT member, performs pre-delivery follow-up with suppliers to assure on-time delivery of product, performs simple expediting - involving Supply Management when needed, coordinates Receiving and Stores activity to focus on critical path parts, continually monitors changes in supply or demand (in quantity or in timing) for material and corrects imbalances, issues PO change orders, provides material status reports including short and long-term material availability, to order analysis, and inactive and excess inventory analysis, implements ECO changes from the Change Implementation Board (CIB) Reviews cancel or modify POs, and set up rework POs per ECO, returns rejected material coordinating with Supply Management and Supplier. Work outside of the core operating hours may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college.
Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs, specifically Microsoft office and Excel including macros, V-lookup and pivot tables
Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
Desired Skills:
Understanding of factory operations' role regarding both production and non-recurring effort (tooling, capacity, cost targets, proposal activity) and the ability to partner with multiple functional and programs.
Experience with SAP MRP
Inventory Control and material handling knowledge
Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
Black or Green Belt trained / certified
Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists
