SCHEDULE: Full-time

Sterile Processing Technician

AKA Central Sterile Technician

Full Time

32 hours/week or 64/pay period

Work Mixed Schedule = 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. AND 2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. (rotation from day schedule to afternoon schedule is made typically every 2 weeks). Rotation of Weekends and Holidays as well

Job Duties:

Responsible for preparing equipment and instruments for re-use by decontamination and sterilization. Distributes supplies and assists in collection of supply charges.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Required.

Experience:

One (1) year of experience Preferred.

Special Qualifications:

Able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions according to established department policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to do all surgical instrument trays. This position requires excellent organization skills, communication skills, memory retention and flexibility. This job requires a full range of physical abilities. This job requires strict adherence to details. Must have the sensitivity, maturity and ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to hear well and communicate clearly. Must write legibly.
