We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team who will help shape Portal hardware products with well-informed research and bring them to market working closely with cross-functional peers. This person is an experienced marketer who has demonstrated experience driving business strategy and execution through the product life cycle. They will help establish a world-class product marketing team, bringing hardware products and experiences to market, and leverage opportunities to incorporate our Portal into the broader Facebook company narrative. Strong leadership, communication, and general management of the go-to-market process will be requirements for success in this role.
Previous experience working in an established consumer goods or consumer hardware business is strongly preferred.
Product Marketing Manager, Hardware: Portal Responsibilities
* Use strong general business acumen with marketing competency to lead go-to-market plans and drive integrated efforts across cross functional teams
* Partner closely with Product Management, UX, and Market Research to uncover user needs and business opportunities that inform the product roadmap
* represent existing and future user needs to help evolve portfolio strategy over a multi-year time horizon
* In partnership with insights, analytics, growth, and marketing channel teams, outline and execute hypothesis-driven tests that help optimize marketing execution and scale to drive business impact
* Partner with the Sales team on category analysis, presentation materials and in-store/online creative assets for new and in-market products
Minimum Qualifications
* BA/BS degree
* 7+ years professional experience in brand and/or product marketing in consumer goods or consumer technology
* Foundational business acumen with focus on go-to-market elements, including marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance
* Experience influencing vision and strategy and bringing it to life in actionable plans
* Experience identifying risk and managing trade-offs across cross-functional stakeholders
* Analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
* Experience communicating clearly and concisely
* Experience viewing problems as opportunities and ambiguity as adventure
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or equivalent experience
* Experience launching consumer products
* Knowledge about technology, internet and connectivity trends
