Under general supervision, the Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of campaign planning and email strategy to drive traffic and conversion to GameStop stores and website. The main business outcome for this position is to evaluate and improve email marketing activities through segmentation, testing, targeting, and contact optimization with the goal of improving marketing effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Manage day-to-day project initiation, creative proofing, and execution for all email marketing initiatives.

Manage the email content calendar by leveraging promotional calendar, events, and creative content in partnership with marketing managers and merchants.

Develop email campaign audience criteria which include segmentation, cadence, sequencing and dynamic content targeting, through collaboration with the CRM Manager.

Provide weekly status reports to management detailing campaign performance. Perform ad hoc campaign analyses summaries at the request of the marketing teams.

Collaborate with in-house creative team and full marketing department to achieve project deadlines, while also ensuring promotional messaging and creative consistency across advertising programs where appropriate.

Manage email service provider to develop and execute all email campaigns.

Assist in developing testing strategies for template formats, subject lines and content presentation; analyze results and suggest improvements.

Perform budgeting and billing related to email programs. Assist with forecast planning when appropriate.

Maintain best practices for email hygiene, privacy, and opt-in standards.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

Accredited Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required

At least 5 years of equivalent marketing services experience required

Email or digital marketing experience (especially managing ROI-positive programs), preferred

Proficient knowledge of email best practices and legislation, preferred

Experience with at least one ESP's platform, such as Experian CheetahMail including customer segmentation, dynamic content, and customized messaging experience, a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization

Proficient presentation skills to effectively present information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company

Working knowledge of digital messaging metrics and analysis

Proficient knowledge of customer segmentation strategies in a direct marketing environment

Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
