* Responsible for unloading, sorting, and stacking cartons from trucks and locating all merchandise into the proper area.
* Responsible for scanning cartons and cases using a handheld device.
* Responsible for separating QA/WC cartons
* May be responsible for receiving printed layout to determine which cartons are needed per shipment to be weighed.
* Responsible for using various equipment within the facility.
* Responsible for moving pallets in and out of trailers/containers.
* Responsible for pulling orders for packing, if receiving is slow, in a timely manner.
* Maintain a clean safe work area.
* Perform any other duties required by management.

Experience and Skills

* High School Diploma
* Ability to drive electric pallet jack is preferred
* Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with co-workers and supervisor.
* Ability to accurately count, add, subtract, multiply and divide simple whole numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of measure in regards to numbers, weight and volume.
* Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out detailed written and/ or oral instructions. Ability to resolve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to ask for help when solution is unknown or questionable.
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of windows operating systems, be able to follow command prompts on screen and use keyboard/mouse to enter basic information.
* Required to stand throughout the entire shift
* Use hands to handle, move and feel cases/cartons/boxes
* Reach with hands and arms to move cases/cartons/ boxes
* Able to bend, stoop, or kneel as needed throughout the shift
* Without strain, must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds
* Able to adjust focus to read small font accurately on scanner/label/computer screen within 20 inches or less
