The candidate will be responsible for providing application development and support to capture, analyze application and server management metrics using tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch for a variety of information delivery and enterprise risk applications. This job will be performed in the US.
What you will be responsible for
As Technical Application Support Analyst-Development and Operations your specific duties of the position include:
* Analyze application architecture, identify scope for enhanced monitoring and logging.
* Develop and work with tools to capture application and server performance metrics.
* Create dashboards in splunk to visualize application performance metrics data.
* Configure automation tools to enable efficient deployment strategies
* Analyze and improve application build and deployment for enhanced integration with global devops team.
* Work on complex application installations on varied OS such as Linux, Windows, Solaris
* Perform agent installation for 24/7 application and server log monitoring.
* Troubleshoot application issues and provide instant solutions causing zero impact to business. Subsequently work on a long term remediation plan.
* Review application release notes to stay current with modifications and enhanced security.
* Ensure corporate security policies are strictly enforced, develop tools and splunk queries to aid in enhanced security.
* Work with multiple application teams to guide them into adapting efficient logging and monitoring strategy.
* Review performance issues and provide tuning recommendations to applications team.
* Develop specialized utility tools for customized home grown applications.
* Periodically review application packaging technique to integrate into corporate CI and CD model.
