The Team:
Global Supply Chain has committed to transforming processes and making significant improvements to service and cost. In support of these commitments, we have developed new data sources, software, and processes that provide new opportunities for analysis of our business and processes.
In the above context, the Global Supply Chain Planning Team ensures an optimal production plan is periodically generated and updated to best meet global markets inventory requirements and customers demand across various selling channels. This team drives consistent collaboration and interacts directly with Demand Planning, Replenishment Planning, Master Planning, and Logistics across the globe to meet process and service goals. This team will also enforce and own the weekly Sales & Operations Planning cadence and ensure adherence to the supply and demand planning horizons while at the same time being the custodian and main responsible for the Blue Yonder (ex-JDA) software implementation and use.
The Opportunity:
Our Sr. Supply Planning Analyst will be charged with understanding key business processes and interacting with all supply planning regions globally. The incumbent will lead and coordinate the weekly interaction (Sales & Operation Planning) between Supply/Plant Manufacturing and Regional Demand Planning. The incumbent will help develop the supply planning process, tools, and standard reporting as well as be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the supply planning tools in use.
What Your Impact Will Be:
* Run periodical reports for the Supply Planning Team and identify opportunities to improve the data quality
* Proactively monitor demand volatility and supply/demand match ratios, identifying any early actions that might be taken to improve them as per Companys guidelines
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover
* Oversee the periodical generation of the Supply Plan to the Manufacturing team, ensuring its accuracy and optimality
* Collaborate with the Regional Demand organization to improve the quality of the Supply Plan generated
* Perform monthly supply/demand review with Demand Planners and Manufacturing Planners to monitor the overall demand/supply status and proactively initiate any needed corrective or improvement initiatives
* Perform as required ad hoc analysis to support project teams and executives
* Work independently to retrieve data from Mattel systems, communicates data to the team and senior management, and takes the lead in preventing and resolving issues
* Lead root cause analysis and uses data to support the development of Global Supply Planning processes and procedures
What Were Looking For:
* 3+ years of previous work experience in Supply Chain
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with preferably VBA coding experience
* Proficient using business intelligence tools for data analysis (Cognos, Tableau etc.) and planning tools (e.g. JDA)
* Experience with Supply Planning tools (like Blue Yonder) is preferred
* Coding experience in R or Python preferred
* Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Position requires ability to apply critical thinking to dissimilar problems and deliver fact supported analysis, and the capability to quickly switch between strategic thinking and detailed analysis.
* Process Management: Able to create and organize work and processes to get things done in the most efficient manner.
* Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
* Collaboration: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
* Influencing & Negotiation: Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action.
* Presentation Skills: Communicates clearly and effectively in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and bosses.
