The Media Associate Manager primary responsibility is to execute processes and procedures, tracking Brand spend against Media budget, including all Therapeutic Areas and Corporate Functions; The role will be responsible for reporting and managing demand across channels, in addition to creating portfolio reports for senior management.
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
* Lead financial operations for BMS media buys including, radio, email, billboard, digital, mailers and other channels. Advise all stakeholders including senior management on operational aspects of $140MM annual media business
* Track and report Current Approved Budget, Requested Budget (Schedule As vs OPGs) Committed (value of orders) and actuals (value of invoices) using standard BW, RPM and official scorecard reports, ultimately driving variance below 5% for the year
* Align Schedule As (from Agency) with OPGs (Brands plan) and call out variances
* Directs fully approved schedule As, contract (MSA, SOW) and order (PO, SO) processing in a timely fashion to keep the business moving, and successfully prioritizes the most critical items on a rolling basis
* Adjust SOs based on Schedule A changes and reconciliation, accurately track progress (tracker) and communicate with stakeholders as per policy
* Partner with Finance to share best practices, deliver on business objectives and meet deadlines
* Pull actuals reports for product plans and cost centers; interpret and request journal entries and emergency payments
* Hold team members accountable for needed actions to meet budget goals, while maintaining positive relationships
* Assist in driving integration and efficiency across internal operations to deliver business objectives
* Executes annual budget planning, April and September projections in compliance deadlines
* Manage the financial aspects of Media (that are not related to Clinical Trials)
* Resolve issues with budget, accounting, billing and service orders (auto-close or other)
Qualifications
* 4 year bachelors degree preferred
* Candidate should possess 3 5 years of complex or brand/marketing budget coordination
* Strong hands-on expertise with RPM, preferably with international experience utilizing multiple BMS Company Codes
* Experienced SAP user of the DME logs and SAP transactions for budget tracking
* Advanced Microsoft Excel user, preferably with pivot table expertise
* Basic SharePoint knowledge
* Superior attention to detail and accuracy, especially in working with tables of financial data that contain several hundred rows
* Superior organization skills, especially in reporting data, archiving generations of files and tracking action items
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, preferably with the ability to lead financial status meetings with brand and hub teams
* Knowledge of Global Procurement policies CP013 and CP040
* Experience with Propel, Onyx, Ariba or SRM are a plus but not required
* Proficiency at demonstrating the Core BMS Behaviors
