The Color Data Analyst will facilitate the storage and distribution of Architectural Coatings color formulas for the US and Canadian markets! The role is essential to deliver color recipes to the point of sale in a timely and accurate fashion. This function is a vital part of any new Architectural Coatings product launch and plays a crucial role in any changes to PPG paints, stains, or colors!
Key Responsibilities:
* Takes direction from a group or project leader
* Successfully complete projects on time
* Passed color blindness screening test
* Lab notebook is up-to date and in compliance
* Able to effectively listen and communicate within the work team, providing clear and concise documentation of technical results, and able to orally present work
* Collaborates and supports all team efforts. Open minded and responsive to feedback
* The focus of this position is to facilitate the storage and distribution of Architectural Coatings color formulas for the US and Canadian markets

Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's Degree with a focus on IT or computer science or a four-year technical degree with relevant data management and/or architectural coatings experience is preferred
* Strong data manipulation skills and sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and other relational databases (Oracle & SQL)
* Ability to research problems independently and make recommendations for resolution, is able to identify and implement improvements to existing processes, and can use existing systems to supervise and manage requests and issues
* General understanding of paint and color matching is a plus
