DESCRIPTION
Amazon Physical stores team is seeking a highly motivated individual with process improvement and project management experience to join our Operations team. As a Program Manager R&D based in Seattle, you will be responsible for planning, testing, continuously improving and summarizing operational concepts for our physical stores. This individual will have direct report(s) and will partner closely with key internal subject matter experts to develop and improve Operational concepts that will enable Amazon stores to optimize the utilization of store labor.
As the single threaded leader for Operations planning, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and leaders to understand business goals and priorities, in order to effectively and accurately strategize, plan, and execute initiatives. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements, evaluate cost implications of processes and recommend optimum solutions to senior leaders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience managing retail stores for 3+ years
5+ years of relevant professional experience, including a successful track record of navigating through ambiguous situations and dealing with complexities.
Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.
Experience in Retail operations/processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters in Industrial Engineering and/or MBA degree.
Experience using PM tools.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail and work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
