JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for gathering business requirements and architecting solutions to create efficient data models that support self service as a strategic reporting and business intelligence initiative.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities vary, but may include various combinations of the following duties.

1. Provides data mart development, integrations and/or support, including independently performing problem identification and resolution.

2. Ensure database designs efficiently support Business Intelligence and end user requirements

3. Collaborates with business partners to gather requirements for technical solutions and troubleshoots system related issues.

4. Analyzes and translates business needs into long-term solution data models.

5. Updates and optimizes metadata models.

6. Provides support and input to projects, including task planning and execution.

7. Enables and empowers business stakeholders to utilize self service Business Intelligence and reporting tools.

8. Works independently on projects that may span multiple functional areas.

9. Responsible for maintenance of data accuracy and integrity.

10. Identifies and works to automate tasks and processes with scripting and automation tools.

12. Ensures availability when necessary for off-shift and weekend support functions.

13. Incorporates enterprise security standards into functional area.

14. Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Working ability to work independently or as part of a team.

2. Strong written and verbal communication skills

3. Prior experience working with financial data

4. Strong working knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects/Tableau preferred)

5. Ability to Morph relational databases into fact and dimension tables using a star schema format.

6. Working knowledge of and ability to independently apply SDLC, ITSM or related methodologies.

7. Thorough knowledge of data warehouse design and implementing concepts of fact and dimension modeling.

8. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and recommend process changes that improve the overall implementation, maintenance and support of applications.

9. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply basic math and data analysis skills.

10. knowledge of Data Warehouse Schema Design, Query Optimization, and Data Migration and Integration.

Desired Technical knowledge: SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, Snowflake, GITHUB, Active Batch

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 to 4 years of enterprise technology experience is recommended. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
