SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Business Operations Analyst will monitor current and newly developed manufacturing policies, procedures, and systems among multiple departments or locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Work directly with Manufacturing/Distribution teams to develop reports to track data and metrics driving cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency opportunities in all areas
Interface with Manufacturing/Distribution teams to converge on the best methods to drive improvement
Develops and improves reports and planning tools in Excel and or other quantitative/qualitative analysis
Evaluates performance against established metrics to determine acceptable levels of quality or efficiency for various business functions and units
Assists with Operations system issues on major projects
Build integrity within the Operations framework by developing processes to ensure all team members are reporting correct data in the most usable format
Develop slide decks in reference to Operations for immediate and future planning horizons.
Recommends analysis of current procedures to make recommendations to promote effective operations within the department
Assists in the completion of projects by following general guidelines established by management.
Researches and recommends alternatives for review for enhancements to operational policies, procedures, and systems
Assists management with communication tactics and materials to facilitate changes in business policy, procedures, and system implementations
Builds and applies broad knowledge of practices and procedures in area of expertise

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
1-3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS
Ability to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience with creation of business metrics to meet ongoing organizational and customer information needs
Analyze and report on complex data to meet customer needs
Ability to communicate complex data in comprehensible ways
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including high level formulas and linking of files – Excel, Word and Outlook and PowerPoint applications
Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels within the organization
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructions
Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
Well-versed with technical documentation
