The licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family.

* You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions
* You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
* You will maintain and review patients records including posting tests and examination results
* You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders
* You will check rooms daily for necessary supplies
* You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)
* Collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
* Participates as a member of the health care team and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting needs of the patient/family.
* Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures of the organization and principles of relationship-based care.
* Contributes to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback.
* Helps develop team cohesiveness by offering assistance to team members and aligns individual work efforts to meet work unit and organizational goals for service excellence.
* Completes assignments on time, contributing extra effort to meet patients', customers', and colleagues' needs.

Qualifications

Associate's degree Nursing Required

1+ year(s) of experience in LPN nursing
