As a PACU registered nurse manager in our ambulatory surgery center, you will provide clinical management and expertise over the PACU staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care. As a nurse manager, you will have the opportunity for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.

* You will manage and supervise all PACU areas of care

* Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator

* You will ensure that day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center

* Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes

* You will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided

* Accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages

* Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided

* You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures

* You will delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with your team

* Ability to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership

Reston Surgery Center is proud to have a long and distinguished reputation as a provider of ambulatory surgical care in northern Virginia since 2004. Today, we offer a state of the art facility and the newest technology in our six operating rooms and three procedure rooms. Performing around 860 cases a month, our specialties include orthopedics, urology, hand and upper extremity, spine, podiatry, plastics, ophthalmology including retina, ENT, GYN and general surgery. Qualifications

EDUCATION:

* Nursing Diploma
* Bachelor or Masters Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum (3) years direct RN experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center surgical setting.
* Minimum (1) year clinical supervisory experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

* Active RN license as required by state of employment.
* Valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable.
* ACLS and PALS as required by facility.
* CNOR preferred.
