Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility (GloMo) Tax Manager for Operations who partners cross functionally to support the execution of our tax services program for mobile employees. The role requires having a great passion for the global day-to-day management of the delivery of GloMo tax services with a commitment to deliver a best-in-class & forward-thinking employee experience. Primary areas of focus will include operations management of mobile employee tax, compensation/payroll as related to mobile employees, equity tax compliance, global administration, internal partner support and employee inquiries/escalations. The preferred candidate will have experience in managing the operations of an in-house mobility tax programs, along with extensive experience in expatriate income tax preparation, tax equalization administration, global expatriate tax & social security payroll compliance.
Global Mobility Tax Manager, Operations Responsibilities
* Manage the operational aspects of the global mobility tax program, including day-to-day interactions with employees, vendors and internal stakeholders globally to ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders, while adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.
* Collaborate with Global Mobility Recruiting and Immigration teams to ensure seamless delivery of all GloMo services to employees and a holistic approach to providing information to internal stakeholders such as HRBPs and Recruiting.
* Respond to escalations and policy related queries from employees related to our tax programs for international & domestic transferees, international assignees and international & domestic business travelers.
* Partner with equity programs, corporate tax, employment tax, payroll and employment law to manage the cross-functional management of mobility tax.
* Partner with the Global Mobility Tax Director and the Global Mobility Tax Manager for Strategy & Scaling to deliver on the tax programs experience vision and ensure that the tax services vendor delivers on the employee experience.
* Ability to translate complex tax technical matters into common language easily understandable by our employees and internal non-tax technical stakeholders.
* Hold tax vendors responsible for the delivery of an exceptional employee experience and ensure that they are delivering on agreed metrics.
* Additional opportunities will be both self-identified and assigned by the Global Mobility Tax Director, always in alignment with team and company goals.
* Available for domestic and international travel if needed (tentatively up to 5 - 10% of time).
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree.
* 12+ years of global mobility tax experience, with experience managing in-house mobility tax programs and/or consulting/accounting firms.
* Demonstrated depth of experience in mobility tax, global compensation reporting, mobility payroll processes, including systems, vendors, in-house processes and related operations.
* Experience owning highly confidential situations and data that requires 100% data privacy and security.
* Customer service experience and experience performing in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience working independently and require little instruction on the day-to-day work.
* Experience working in a team environment to achieve goals.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as a leader of the operational management of a global mobility tax program either in-house or as a professional services advisor.
* Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, including the experience flexing to changing circumstances and priorities.
* Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
* Self-starter and fast learner with the experience quickly establishing relationships and be viewed as a trusted advisor, subject matter expert.
